Today’s weather story from the National Weather Service:
NWS: Isolated storms today
Loclaized heavy rainfall possible through much of the weekend
(June 8, 2018) – A stalled frontal boundary and an approaching upper level disturbance will lead to scattered thunderstorms today into tonight. There is a marginal (isolated) risk of severe thunderstorms this afternoon into this evening, mainly along and south of Route 30. In addition, locally heavy rainfall is possible across these locations where thunderstorms may train over the same locations.
The active weather pattern is expected to continue through most of the weekend with periodic chances of showers and thunderstorms. Localized heavy rainfall and flooding will remain a possibility through at least the first half of the weekend.
