Rain/thunder for the Spring Equinox
Cooldown on Wednesday

(March 19, 2017) – After midnight tonight, the cloud coverage will be on the increase with lows in the mid to upper 30s. Then a surface trough will introduce rain shower chances with possible thunderstorms by daybreak.

Monday, rain showers will linger throughout the day. Some thunderstorms may be embedded within the rain showers. During Monday night, dry conditions return as the rain ends from west to east. The cloud cover will remain in place through Tuesday when the next system brings in the chance of rain in the afternoon. Greatest chance of rain is south of US 30. Temperatures turn colder on Wednesday with highs only reaching into the upper 30s. A gradual warmup is expected for the end of the workweek as temperatures may reach into the lower 60s by Friday.
